Materials & Care

STERLING SILVER

This is the base of all our creations. 925 Sterling Silver is an alloy made of 92.5% pure Silver and 7.5% Copper. We plate our Silver jewelry in Rhodium, which gives it an extra shine and durability. Rhodium is one of the costliest precious metals due to its rarity.

STERLING SILVER

The optimal way to maintain its true colour is by wearing it as the oils in our skin decelerates oxidization of Sterling Silver (Note: There are exceptions where the body's sweat contain agents that accelerate oxidization). Please avoid salt water, chlorinated water (such as pools), and hot springs. If not often worn, it is best to store in a closed container, away from sunlight and air flow to preserve its beauty.

CARE

  • Utilize baking soda or toothpaste and gently clean with water.
  • Utilize silver polishing cloth to wipe (Note: These cloths contain special ingredients that should not be in contact with water).
  • Utilize silver cleaning liquid to soak item then rinse

ANTIQUED STERLING SILVER

The black markings on the silver are designed with purpose. It is first electroplated black then manually shined on outer regions to render a vintage appearance. Therefore when these markings are present on newly purchased jewelry, this does not mean that the product is faulty or old.

CARE

  • Utilize baking soda or toothpaste and gently clean with water.
  • Utilize silver polishing cloth to wipe off newly formed oxide (Note: These cloths contain special ingredients that should not be in contact with water).
  • Avoid using silver cleaning liquid.

GOLD VERMEIL

How do you pronounce that!? We got you: Ver - May. Not to be confused with regular gold plating. Vermeil is a much thicker layer of Gold which gives the pieces their long lasting colour. For a piece to be considered Vermeil, the Gold must be a minimum of 10k and 1.5 microns whereas we use 18k Gold layered on Sterling Silver. Please avoid water, liquid containing chemicals (such as perfume, hair dye, sweat), especially sulphured water (such as hot springs), and friction against other objects. Such materials may lose its colour, and become Sterling Silver, through wears however, with proper care, they should last 3-5 years.

CARE

  • Wipe with silver polishing cloth after every use.
  • Store in a closed container.
  • Don't recommend to wear while sleeping.
  • Don't use silver cleaning liquid.

PEARLS

Freshwater Pearl

We use cultured or farmed pearls from oysters and freshwater mussels that we carefully select for our pieces. Pearls are sensitive in nature, so don’t forget to treat them with love. As they are natural, each pearl will have its unique characteristics and they will contain lines and crevices which are all normal.

Mother-of-Pearl

This is created through pearl and shell powder hence creating a shell's iridescent sheen.

CARE

  • Make sure they are the last thing you put on before going out and the first thing you take off when you come home. Avoid direct contact with chemicals found in perfumes or other cosmetics.
  • Avoid scratching with any surfaces.

GEMSTONES

All of our gemstones are genuine mineral stones that are highly valued for their beauty, longevity, and rarity. We use an array of precious and semi-precious stones, from Sapphires to Citrine. These are either in forms of cabochon stones, which are cut like smooth domes, or faceted stones, which are the flat faces on geometric shapes.

CARE

  • Avoid water or chemicals.
  • Prolonged exposure to sunlight may cause certain gemstones to become paler.
  • Avoid scratching with surfaces.
  • Don't use toothpaste to clean.
